I participated in an Localings for Teams event organised by my employer Canon, as part of the workplace Diversity & Inclusion focus efforts which was a Graffiti Workshop called "Challenging the Stereotype". I really didn't know what to expect but I joined in out of curiosity and found the most unique interactive live virtual workshop imaginable. There was a cool, easy-going Dutch MC called Pim and a clearly passionate and excited Italian Graffiti Artist live from his art studio in Paris called Danilo who hosted us. After choosing a word to draw related to the topic, Danilo showed us the techniques stage by stage to achieve the style. We were all engaging with the chat function, sharing our work step by step, hitting likes, voting in polls, and the braver could join in the live broadcast to present their work. Out of the typical, mundane office day, this was unexpectedly the best thing I did this year. It was creative, social, refreshingly different, and most importantly so much fun! I would wholeheartedly recommend any employer to offer this to their employees. Thank you so much Localings for Teams for hosting us!
